The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (Royal Commission) wanted to identify safeguards and good practice in terms of providing access to appropriate accessible services for people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. The Royal Commission funded UNSW Sydney and the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) to identify characteristics of good practice, using a desk top study of evidence and practice, and through consultations with key stakeholders.  The project focused on four sectors: disability services, education, justice and settlement services.
