How to access OneDrive
All active staff and enrolled students at UNSW have access to 5 TB of storage through Microsoft OneDrive.
- Click this link to log in:Â
- Log in using your UNSW credentials:
- Username: Your zID followed by @ad.unsw.edu.au (e.g., z1234567@ad.unsw.edu.au).
- Password:Â Your usual UNSW password | passphrase.

- Install OneDrive
OneDrive is pre-installed on most Windows 10 devices. If not, download it from the . - Set up OneDrive
- Open the 'Start' menu and search for 'OneDrive'.
- Enter your UNSW email: zID@ad.unsw.edu.au (e.g., z1234567@ad.unsw.edu.au).
- Click 'Sign in' and log in using your zID and password.
- Follow the prompts to complete the setup and choose folders to sync.
- Using OneDrive
- Upload files: Drag files into the OneDrive folder in File Explorer.
- Sync folders: Right-click the OneDrive icon in the system tray, select 'Settings', then choose folders to sync.
- Share files: Right-click any file in your OneDrive, select 'Share', and adjust permissions.

There is no official OneDrive client for Linux from Microsoft. In situations where using OneDrive from a Web Browser is not sufficient then Rclone – a command line tool - can be used from Linux devices.
