Research that benefits the lives of people with disability.
Research that benefits the lives of people with disability.
The Disability Scholars Network (DSN) consists of students and early career researchers who are currently pursuing, or interested in pursuing, research that benefits the lives of people with disability.
Our membership includes emerging researchers with and without lived experience of disability, those who wish to support people with lived experience to actively participate in the research process, and students who are respectful of people with disability and with to research topics that benefit them.
While the DSN is hosted by UNSW PhD research students, students interested in disability-related research, across any faculty, from any university, and at any stage of their research journey, are welcome to attend.
The group meets monthly and provides a variety of activities such as guest speakers, learning activities, discussion, and sharing their work. Once a year they aim to host or contribute to a special event, such as a mini-conference, webinar or workshop, where they can learn from and make connections with other researchers and experts in their fields.
