PPE refers to clothing or equipment that provides a physical barrier protecting an individual from a hazard. High visibility clothing whilst not providing a physical barrier, provides an increased sighting distance by improving the visibility of the wearer to vehicle and plant drivers operators.
Please use guideline HS569 in managing PPE requirements in the workplace including laboratories and office spaces.
