UNSW Arts, Design & Architecture is dedicated to seeking and solving problems to improve lives globally. Our mission is driven by a commitment to innovation, creativity, and excellence. Through the transformative support of our generous donors, ADA is making a tangible difference in the world.

Our pioneering research tackles some of the most pressing issues facing society today, from sustainability and climate change to social justice and cultural preservation. With cutting-edge technology, we’re developing innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible.

We’re committed to empowering the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and creators through exceptional educational opportunities. Our programs are designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of the complexities of our world.

The support from our donors enables us to create real-world impact, turning ideas into action and dreams into reality. Together, we are building a brighter, more inclusive future for all. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for helping us make a difference.

The future of business is unclear. New industries are emerging, while traditional models are being disrupted and replaced. Start-ups crowd the market. Corporate leaders are expected to have different skillsets and mindsets. And issues of social responsibility and equity are climbing the business agenda.

How can tomorrow’s leaders thrive while navigating a shifting, complex economic ecosystem? How can we encourage innovation? How can we ensure that the workplace of the future is purpose-driven and fair?

The UNSW Business School is a regionally engaged, high-impact, academically rigorous business school. We are focussed on finding answers to these questions, and on improving practice through innovative research.

Your investment in the UNSW Business School will support our efforts to cultivate the next generation of business leaders, and to set the agenda for a stronger, more diverse and more equitable business environment in the future.

UNSW is the only national academic institution with an integrated defence focus. With two campuses located in Canberra (ADFA and Canberra City), we excel in defence-related security and engineering research, and pride ourselves on producing top-quality research for the benefit of defence personnel, the security of the nation, and the broader Australian public.

The scope of our research is broad. We explore the impacts of climate change on human security. We're developing scientifically rigorous models that integrate with fire safety and risk management systems through bushfire research. We investigate the next frontier of international cooperation through space exploration. We explore military ethics. And we generate and evaluate alternative public sector governance and policy responses.

We're also engaging with the human experience of military action. Our dedicated researchers are uncovering and returning the photos, diaries and other relics of Vietnamese soldiers who remain missing in action, more than 40 years since the end of the war. And they are working with returned defence personnel to develop a better understanding of the experience of veterans.

Your investment will help fund the work of UNSW Canberra and ensure that we continue to expand our strategic knowledge, preserve our military history, and advance the welfare of both civilians and defence personnel.

Water scarcity. Food security. Mega-cities. Climate change. If we are to meet the challenges ahead of us, we will need innovative solutions from inventive minds.

Engineers have always tackled complex problems with creativity, critical-thinking and a heightened sense of accountability. Increasingly, they work across disciplines, collaborating on real-world solutions for the greater good.

UNSW is recognised as Australia's top engineering faculty and home to some of the world's most accomplished engineers. It's a reputation built not only on the quality of our research, but on our proven capacity to deliver viable solutions to industry.

Already, we have pioneered an invention that is transforming the way electricity is generated and used around the world. UNSW School of Photovoltaic & Renewable Energy (SPREE) is internationally-recognised for its record-breaking research in solar power (photovoltaics) and renewable energy. The PERC solar cell was first invented at UNSW in our labs in 1983 and today powers more than 85% of all new solar panel modules all over the world. And we have been key contributors to the development of the world’s first fully implantable bionic eye system.

UNSW Engineering continues to work towards break-through discoveries in energy, health, water and civil engineering. With your support, we can speed the progress of their work, and deliver meaningful change, sooner.

The law is not an end in itself. It can be used for good or for bad. It can marginalise and harm, but it can also lift those in need and uphold social values of fairness, equality and the rule of law.

UNSW Law & Justice is a top-ranking faculty and a global leader in law and criminology education and research, setting the pace in Australia for 50 years.

Our focus on student-centred and research-based teaching ensures our graduates have flexible skills, critical perspectives and broad horizons to help them thrive in an ever-changing world.

The faculty is a hub for thought-leadership and home to some of the world’s most highly regarded and influential minds. We are committed to the notion that the law must serve the needs of the community. We are united in our commitment to finding solutions for real-world issues and improving access to justice for some of the world’s most marginalised people.

Already, we have made advances towards constitutional reforms to ensure Indigenous Australians have a strong voice in public policy and the laws that affect them. We have influenced new policy frameworks and operational responses for people displaced by disaster and climate change. And we have made progress towards gender equality in Australia and around the world.

But there is still much more we need to do - and you can help. Your donation to UNSW Law will strengthen our capacity to influence public debate, shape government policy, and drive innovation across a range of pressing social and environmental justice issues.

Modern medicine has radically improved healthcare and transformed life expectancy for millions. Yet, there are many significant global health challenges that remain.

UNSW Medicine is committed to solving those challenges and to ensuring that ground-breaking discoveries are rapidly translated into life-changing cures, therapies and treatment strategies. And we are prioritising projects that will improve the lives of some of our most vulnerable populations including Indigenous peoples, women and children and resource-poor communities around the world.

Philanthropy has a long history of involvement with UNSW Medicine. It is instrumental to our success in developing treatments to meet the challenges of HIV and more recently  the Covid pandemic, addressing health inequities in Australia and across the Pacific, as well as supporting our future health professionals through scholarship support

Today, we are on the brink of new breakthroughs that will revolutionise the lives of people impacted by cancer, heart disease, infectious diseases, and brain disorders. Your support will make a crucial difference and speed up the delivery of much-needed cures and therapies.

Science holds the key to many of the challenges that face us in the 21st century. Now, more than ever, we need to strengthen our collective knowledge-base so that we can address complex social problems, from climate change to the future of big data.

UNSW is a powerhouse for scientific learning and research. From chemistry and marine biology to quantum physics and biotechnology, we’re home to world renowned experts who conduct leading-edge research and set the agenda for our centres of excellence.

Our researchers are committed to producing viable solutions that deliver real-world change. We have an excellent record of working with government and industry to put pioneering innovations into action.

Collaboration is at the heart of making impact, and at the heart of UNSW Science. Introducing the Pact for Impact - an Australian-first collective commitment to define and measure the impact we collectively make through science. Led by UNSW’s Faculty of Science and co-created by partners, Pact for Impact demonstrates the commitment of UNSW Science and its partners to improving the world we live in through science.

Your investment in UNSW Science will speed the delivery of breakthrough discoveries that will change our world for the better.
