The School of Chemistry at UNSW is a leading research centre with world-class research and teaching facilities.
The co-location with the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre (MWAC) ensures continued excellence in research by providing students and researchers with the highest calibre environment to pursue innovative, cutting-edge research programs.
The school has access to a wide range of analytical instrumentation, housed both within the MWAC and the school itself.
Buildings
The School of Chemistry occupies most of the Dalton building and has teaching and research laboratories on levels one, two and three of the Chemical Sciences Building and levels four and 10 of the Chemical Sciences tower. Offices of academic staff and most students are on levels one and two of the Dalton building.
The administrative offices of the school are located at the southern end of level one of the Dalton building (above JG's cafe) and all general enquiries should be directed there.
Recently the Hilmer and Science Engineering (SEB) Buildings have been completed and are occupied by research labs and academic offices.
