Work Integrated Learning (WIL) courses provide opportunities for students to undertake learning experiences in professional settings as part of their program of study.

WIL at UNSW must be:

  • embedded in a course and have an assigned unit of credit value; and/or
  • a program requirement for those professions that require a minimum level of work experience to receive accreditation.

The School of Art and Design runs three WIL courses to provide industry-engaged learning through opportunities with relevant industry hosts:

  •  (for undergraduate students)
  •  (for Honours students)
  •  (for postgraduate coursework students)

If you have any questions, please contact the Art & Design WIL Team on 02 9385 8125 or pep.artdesign@unsw.edu.au

Interested in being a WIL Host?

If you're an organisation, institution or professional working in a field related to UNSW School of Art & Design’s offerings in Fine Arts, Design, Curating and Cultural Leadership, and/or Animation and Visual Effects, and would like to host a professional opportunity for one or more of our talented students, please  to become a WIL Host.

Once you're registered as a host in UNSW’s InPlace management system, the next step is to create a WIL opportunity in the system. Host opportunities can be viewed by Art & Design students.

If you require any additional support with this process, please contact the WIL Team on 02 9385 8125 or pep.artdesign@unsw.edu.au.
