Artist statement

Through the chipped panes of my living room window, a fleeting interplay of light and shadow is cast. dappled sunlight/ warming the sofa eternalises this delicate moment in time through the medium of drawing. Using a repetitive mark-making process to patiently capture the momentary interplay of light and shadow, the work italicizes the ‘art of noticing’ and draws attention to the quiet beauty of the everyday.
