Artist statement

These works document passages through the Australian landscape by collecting elements and binding them to canvas with water from the hydrocommons. Each piece records a single art-walk to summit mountains around New South Wales (Moore Park: Mount Lang, Constitution Hill, Mount Rennie, Mount Lang; Bungonia National Park: Mount Ayre; Mount Druitt). In combining my body with the mountains and the canvas I create uniquely expressive portraits of place, time, and self.
