Artist statement
‘Deconstructed Painting’ presents the dissected elements of a found painting. It was created through a laborious manual process of stripping, scraping and untangling. The artwork explores the process of deconstruction and undoing, to create new work - with the anatomised foundations presented in the expanded form.
