Articulation allows students who have completed studies at a partner institution to progress to an approved program at UNSW with credit.Ìý

UNSW has established articulation agreements with some partner institutions. The agreements provide clear guidelines and rules for credit transfer.Ìý

If you have completed studies at one of our articulation partner institutions in an approved program within the specified period as outlined in the articulation agreements, you may be able to transfer some of your credit to UNSW, given that you meet entry requirements and conditions of the arrangement. This means you might not have to take some courses and your program length at UNSW could be shortened.Ìý

If there is no existing articulation agreement between your institution and UNSW, you may be eligible for credit transfer.

Credit transfer is also known as 'advanced standing' or recognition for prior learning (RPL).

You can apply to have previous study from another institution or another UNSW degree program recognised, and the credit transferred to your current degree program at UNSW.

Credit transfer is available to both domestic students and international students. UNSW has specific rules for transferring credit from other institutions, which you can learn more about on the ±è²¹²µ±ð.Ìý

If you are undertaking studies in an approved program with one of our articulation partner institutions, you can apply for credit transfer as part of the admission application via . You will be asked if you want to apply for credit transfer/RPL and to provide details of your prior studies.

If you do not request credit transfer/RPL in your initial application, you can submit a credit transfer request and any questions about credit transfer to UNSW before accepting your UNSW offer via .
