Professor Ziv Hameiri
Ziv Hameiri received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, in 2005 (Graduated Summa Cum Laude). He was awarded his PhD by the University of New South Wales (School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering) in March 2011.
He was a Research Fellow at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore between 2011 and 2014, where his research focused on characterisation of silicon wafers and solar cells using photoluminescence and on the development of high-efficiency industrial solar cells. In 2014 he was awarded the UNSW Vice-Chancellor’s Research Fellowship and in 2015 he received the Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA).
Currently, he is a Professor, leading a research group, the , that tries to save the world.
