Tuki completed his PhD in Psychology at Macquarie University in 2018, exploring the relationship between obesity and cognitive function. He has worked internationally on the cognitive and brain functions impacted by diet and obesity. Tuki joined UNSW/NeuRA in March 2021 as a Research Fellow working on an ARC Linkage project led by Prof. Kaarin Anstey aimed at understanding and improving driver safety in older adults. This project investigates how older drivers use Advanced-Driver Assistance Systems in their cars and its impact on crash risk. ÌýIn addition, the project explores how cognitive changes associated with ageing impact older drivers’ use of emerging vehicle automation and assistive technologies. He has expertise in statistics, machine learning models, systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
