Dr Tony Zhang

Dr. Tony Zhang is a biostatistician and perinatal epidemiologist at the National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit, Centre for Big Data Research in Health. Tony leads novel large-scale data linkage study to investigate the long-term reproductive and overall health outcomes of men with male infertility.
Tony completed his PhD in biostatistics and epidemiology at the Otago Medical School, New Zealand, investigating the longitudinal development of lung function and early life origins of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Tony has extensive experience as a consultant biostatistician in the design of clinical trials and complex health surveys, statistical modelling, data linkage study, and big health data analytics, across both public and higher education sectors. In addition, as an epidemiologist (the "disease detective"), Dr. Zhang has a wide range of knowledge in geriatric, respiratory, perinatal, and reproductive epidemiology.
