Tobias Huber works as a Lecturer at the UNSW School of Risk and Actuarial Studies. His research focuses on analyzing how individuals and companies make decisions, both normatively and descriptively. Additionally, he delves into risk management within life insurance companies and explores flood insurance solutions with regards to climate change. Tobias earned his PhD in Finance and Insurance from LMU Munich in 2020. Notably, his dissertation received prestigious national and international recognition in insurance science and practice, including the esteemed Ernst Meyer Prize from the Geneva Association. Between 2021 and 2024, he served as a consultant at Allianz. Moreover, he holds the distinction of being a fellow of the German Association of Actuaries.
