Dr Tahereh Hassan Zadeh Koohi
Tahereh is a Senior Research Associate at the School of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), specializing in AI-driven biomedical image processing. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UNSW, she has established herself as a leading expert in medical image processing using artificial intelligence. Her doctoral research focused on the development of neuroevolutionary deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) for medical image analysis, setting a strong foundation for her future work. She holds dual master's degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Computing.
Tahereh brings a wealth of experience from her 3-year postdoctoral tenure at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands, where she advanced her expertise in medical imaging and AI. Her research interests lie at the intersection of AI, medical image processing, neural networks, deep learning, computer vision, evolutionary algorithms, neuroevolutionary algorithms, and machine learning.
