Professor Kook directs the UNSW where new powertrain technologies for carbon neutral fuel combustion are experimentally investigated for various applications. These include new diesel compression-ignition (CI) and petrol spark-ignition (SI) engines developed for high efficiency and low air-polluting emissions and co-operation with other means of power generation such as gasoline-electric hybrids. His carbon neutral fuel research includes hydrogen, ethanol, methanol, jet fuel, biodiesel and any fuels produced from renewable sources. Please find more about his research from the . For accelerated commercialisation of new technologies, he has founded , a UNSW spinout company where he is a co-founder and chief technology officer.
