Ms Rizka Purwanto
Rizka is currently anÌýAdjunct Associate LecturerÌý²¹³ÙÌýUniversity of New South Wales ²¹²Ô»åÌý²¹²ÔÌýÌýwithÌýMonash University, Indonesia. Prior to this role, she was a postdoctoral researcher at UNSW Canberra Space, with past experiences working as a software engineer in Australia and Indonesia.
Her research interests are mainly in theÌýapplication of artificial intelligenceÌýin various areas. Her current research interests includeÌýscams and phishing attacks, specifically on improvingÌýcybersecurity awareness, and developingÌýAI based methodsÌýthat could automatically help detect phishing attacks and scams. Besides AI for cybersecurity, she is also currently working in the area ofÌýAI for space, particularly on the use of federated learning on miniaturised satellite constellations, andÌýspace object characterisationÌýusingÌýlightcurve dataÌýwithÌýdeep learning.
Rizka received theÌýbachelor’s degreeÌýinÌýelectrical engineeringÌýfromÌýInstitut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia, in 2013, and theÌýmaster’s degreeÌýfrom theÌýUniversity of New South Wales (UNSW)Ìýin 2018, concentrating on artificial intelligence and internetworking. She completed herÌýPhDÌýin 2022, from theÌýSchool of Computer Science and EngineeringÌý²¹³ÙÌýUNSW. Her PhD was funded by the University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA) and Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre scholarships.
