Rina’s design work and research is in the area of emotional design, in particular the role of narrative in product design. Much of her research results in lighting and furniture products, which investigate our constant changing relationship with the domestic interior and interior products. Sensory and decorative qualities of the materials, as well as craft and mass production techniques are all important aspects of this exploration.
