Noam Peleg is a Senior LecturerÌýand Director – Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the Faculty of Law and Justice. Noam's work in international children’s rights law, human rights law, childhood studies, and family law. His latest research has focused on questions of identity, development, paternalism and childhood. His book ‘The Child’s Right to Development’ was published by Cambridge University Press in 2019.ÌýTogether with the Diplomacy Training Programme (DTP) and Youth Law AustraliaÌýNoam has established the “Monitoring Children’s Rights Capacity Building Programme’ and he is a board member of the DTP Since 2023.ÌýNoamÌýhas been on the editorial board of the International Journal of Children’s Rights since 2013 and is the Journal’s Book Review Editor since 2018. In 2020 he was Visiting Professor at Columbia Law School (NYC). Before moving to academia, Noam practiced law in several human rights NGOs.
