My research focuses on enhancing our understanding of climate extremes, urban meteorology, and the interactions between land surface changes and the atmosphere. I utilize Atmospheric Models, Geographic Information Systems, and Remote Sensing to delve into these areas. I completed my PhD from Victoria University in Australia, an MSc in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Malaya in Malaysia, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) in Bangladesh. My PhD research explored the complexities of urban heat islands and their mitigation strategies, particularly through green infrastructure implementation during heatwaves.ÌýAfter my PhD, I served as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Water and Environment of DUET from October 2018 to January 2023.ÌýCurrently, my researchÌýis dedicated to refining methods, data sources, and insights within regional climate models to increase confidence around changes in hazards and extremes across regional to local scales. These outcomes are anticipated to contribute to decision-making processes and shape adaptation strategies for mitigating climate change hazards on a local scale.Ìý
