My research revolves around three interconnected themes: i)Assessing past changes in oceanic circulation, ii)Understanding the role of oceanic circulation in past and future abrupt climate change, iii)Understanding changes in the global carbon cycle and atmospheric CO2. I explore these themes by performing numerical experiments with Earth system models and comparing model outputs to paleo-proxy records or observations.
I am co-editor in chief and editor of Climate of the Past.
