I am a behavioural neuroscientist interested inÌýcognitive processes that go awry in neuropsychiatric disorders.ÌýUsing animal models I study the brainÌýcircuits underlyingÌýattention, learning and decision-making. We use sophisticated behavioural paradigmsÌýto dissectÌýthe psychological mechanisms underlying complex behaviour, in combination withÌývariousÌýtools including chemogenetics, optogenetics and pharmacology to manipulate brain circuits.ÌýI am particularly interested inÌýtranslational preclinicalÌýmental health research to bridge the bench to bedside gap, with my current project focused onÌýunderstanding habits, impulsive and compulsive responding in disorders such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and schizophrenia.
