Dr Adrian Walker
I am a biostatistician interested in using large health data to improve the health and wellbeing of priority populations. I have published work on the health needs of people with intellectual disability, people living with dementia, and people with psychotic disorders. I am currently leading the analysis on a multinational project on project on infertility, assisted reproduction, and cancer. In my work I promote the co-design of research with priority populations, and have coordinated advocate advisory groups on four large health data projects.
I have a particular interest in causal inference of observational data, leading the Causal Analysis, Reasoning, and Inference Club at UNSW Sydney. Particularly I have an interest in promoting good research practice, including the estimation of bias and use of directed acylcic graphs (DAGs) in observational research.
