Facilities and services available within BABS
Ìýis affiliated with the School of BABS and is the largest genomics facility at any Australian university. It is comprehensively equipped with the latest next-generation sequencing technology, single-cell genomics platforms and high throughput microarray systems. It is funded by the Australian Government as infrastructure of national significance. The centre’s quality management system is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.
Ìýis an NCRIS-funded bioinformatics team. It provides collaborative bioinformatics support to users of the Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics, in aspects of experimental design and in data analysis for genomics and transcriptomics. Expertise exists in long and short-read data and their use in the study of microbes and microbiomes through to the assembly and analysis of large eukaryotic genomes.
's highly skilled staff provide protein production and purification services for academic and industry researchers, enabling the acceleration of research projects. Researchers and students can also be trained to use the specialised equipment at RPF and can be assisted with their experimental design

UNSW facilities and services available to BABS researchers
TheÌýÌý(MWAC) manages major instrumentation used by researchers for the study of the structure and composition of biological, chemical and physical materials. The centre’s research facilities are accessible to all staff and students of UNSW. Stats Central is also part of MWAC.
ÌýhaveÌýbeen established to improve access to research infrastructure based in UNSW faculties and schools. Network Labs make such faculty-based infrastructure accessible to a broader user base outside the local school or centre with the aim to foster and support sharing of resources and enhance collaboration.
In addition to MWAC and the UNSW Network labs there isÌýÌýthat can be accessed by UNSW researchers. This includes UNSW facilities, facilitiesÌýrun as part of the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) and other national facilities.
