The Congress was pitched as a call to action for global universities, governments and businesses to pivot their educational, research, innovation and outreach programmes towards tangible outcomes, bringing together 3,000 delegates and 360 speakers, from 145 partner organisations and 85 countries.
UNSW, as a global research-centred knowledge resource, attended as part of our institutional commitment to strategic accompaniment with key partners such as the United Nations (UN), and regional organisations from across the Asia-Pacific region, including from universities, Pacific governments, and think tanks.
The Institute for Global Development spearheaded the wider UNSW team involved in the preparation of our Congress interactions. Key partners came from across all UNSW faculties, including the [MW1]ÌýCities Institute, the Institute for Climate Risk and Resilience, the , the , UNSW Engineering, UNSW Science, the Global Water Institute, and the UNSW Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
