AGSM @ UNSW Business School ranked 39th out of 251 global MBA programs in the latest QS Global MBA rankings.

The QS rankings consider a multitude of factors to calculate the scores including a return on investment metric that considers the career outcomes of graduates, thought leadership and diversity.

"AGSM consistently ranks among the world's best schools of management for our Full-Time, Part-Time, and Online MBA programs," said Nick Wailes, AGSM Director and Deputy Dean UNSW Business School.

"This latest QS result further recognises AGSM's strong positioning across several key indicators when compared to the global and regional averages," he said.

The 2018 QS rankings consider five core indicators. AGSM scored higher than the global and the Oceania region mean scores in all five categories:

  • Employability (65.8). Averages: Global (56.3), Oceania (49.6)
  • Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes (56.1). Averages: Global (53.7), Oceania (45.2)
  • Return on Investment (84.3). Averages: Global (65.0), Oceania (59.3)
  • Thought Leadership (87.4). Averages: Global (57.2), Oceania (62.5)
  • Diversity (82.5). Averages: Global (68.6), Oceania (73.0)

AGSM scored highest in Return on Investment, Thought Leadership and Diversity.

QS estimates the timeframe for students to see a Return on Investment after completing an AGSM Full-Time MBA is 3.4 years, which is less than the global average of 4.2 years. AGSM graduates see more than a 40% uplift on investment against the value of their MBA degree over a 10-year period.

The Employability score is based on responses from 200,000 global employers across all industries and sectors over the last five years. AGSM ranking results show over 81% of recent Full-Time MBA graduates receiving job offers within 3 months of completing their degree.

"Our programs are designed and facilitated by internationally recognised faculty members who have industry experience and are thought leaders within their field. AGSM is building a leadership pipeline that embraces diversity and the cultural richness of our community, which helps more people achieve their full leadership potential," Nick said.

"If you want a global career, AGSM provides a diverse cohort experience where students study and work with people from all over the world. With a global network of over 17,000 AGSM alumni and a further 75,000 UNSW Business School alumni, our students have access to business, government and not-for-profit leaders."

Earlier this year, AGSM ranked 37th in the world for the QS Global Executive MBA Rankings and 8th in the QS 2018 Global Online MBA Rankings.
