As a Scientia PhD candidate at UNSW, my research focuses on smart construction, bridging past methods with future innovations. To address communication inefficiencies on construction sites, my work aims to enhance data, information, and knowledge management through digitalised solutions. A significant aspect of this research involves Digital Twin (DT) technology, addressing technical challenges in the interaction between physical and virtual phases. My research combines camera-based object detection, a crucial sensor for capturing information on construction sites, with semantic web technologies to integrate with BIM design data. This integration improves interoperability among stakeholders dealing with heterogeneous data formats within DT interactions. My skills include ontology and knowledge graph building, SPARQL queries, and machine learning.

I completed a master's degree in civil engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, researching construction materials with a focus on concrete carbonation, leaching, and ion diffusion at the micro-scale. With experience in structural design and extensive research, I am enthusiastic about the future of digitalisation in civil engineering, construction management, and building environments.
