Reilly Cox
Reilly joined WRL as a PhD student in 2021 to research “Helping fish migrate over barriers with the UNSW Tube Fishway”.
This researchwill focus on the efficient operation of the fishway in lifting a range of endangeredAustralianfish species, while ensuringminimal injuries to the fish. Optimising theoperation with live fish will pavethe way for the deployment of the Tube Fishway to higher barriers such as major dams.
Reilly completed a dual bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental engineering at UNSW graduating with 1stclass honours. During his undergraduate program, he investigated microroughness effects on spillways.
