Jordan has undergraduate degrees in Science (Psychology) and Arts (Criminology), an Honours degree in Psychological Science and a Master of Development Studies. Jordan is a current PhD candidate at UNSW, researching 'A Critical Systems Perspective of Young People's Experiences of Pathways Between Care and Custody.

Jordan currently works in Policy and Practice with Youth Justice NSW and has a particular interest in the interactions between criminal justice and welfare systems. Jordan has worked in various capacities within child-protection and out-of-home care, and youth justice contexts, including within Ministerial Offices, and directly with children, young people, and families.
