As organisations increasingly turn their attention to balancing profit and purpose, the demand for talent with a socially-conscious mindset is on the rise.
If you’re interested in the social entrepreneurship space and building skills that can’t be gained in the classroom, then Career Accelerator’s Social Entrepreneurship Practicum (COMM5030) is the program for you.Â
UNSW Business School has partnered with social sector organisations to provide authentic career experiences that integrate theory with experiential practice. Â
For you, this means an opportunity to work with industry, social enterprises, not-for-profits and foundations to develop and conduct a variety of applied projects in different areas of social entrepreneurship.Â
This program is offered in Terms 1, 2 and 3, as well as in an intensive mode during the Summer session.

Good question! You will work with a social entrepreneur on a consulting process that requires teamwork, autonomy and strategic thinking as part of a team.
In this course, you will have the opportunity to gain practical business experience by applying your business skills and knowledge within a social entrepreneurship context.Â
The course is designed in a 'flipped classroom' mode with six online pre-workshop modules and weekly face-to-face workshops during which theory is applied to practical examples and time is spent on social entrepreneurship projects.
Each practicum experience will be different depending on the social entrepreneurship project that you work on. Â
