Nadeem Bashir is a graphic designer, illustrator, and furniture designer. Heā€™s also an Associate Professor in the area of visual design at the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his training at UNSW Art & Design, specialising in graphic design and visual communication. His greatest concerns are arts and culture, human rights and social action, and the importance of education.Ģż

Nadeemā€™s graphics works ā€“ including logo design, layout design, and illustrative drawings ā€“ are clean and elegant. Clients for whom he has undertaken graphic design work include the Design Centre of Pakistan, WWF Global, the Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of Pakistan, Chawkandi Art, and the Al-Ameen Educational Trust. Nadeemā€™s furniture, which has been exhibited widely in Pakistan, is sleek and refined, utilising dark grain hardwoods, hand-rubbed finishes, and intricate patterns. One of his recent series ā€“ The Spice Box, featuring sideboards, cupboards, drawer units, and end tables ā€“ incorporates traditional visual elements of intricate woodcarving and lattice inlayed within streamlined frames. In talking about these pieces, Nadeem says he wanted to bring ā€œromance into modern livingā€.Ģż
