UNSW Canberra students &Ìýstaff
UNSW Canberra students and staff are automatically registered as Academy Library members when they eitherÌýfinalise their enrolment or the HR on-boarding processes.Ìý
ÌýAs soon as staff and students have their zIDÌýdetails they can access the UNSW Library's electronic resources (e.g., eBooks, electronic journal articles, databases, streaming videos and more) and theirÌý a³¦³¦´Ç³Ü²Ô³Ù.Ìý

ADFA Personnel members
ADFA Personnel members need toÌývisit the Academy LibraryÌýto start the registration process. You'll need to complete aÌýlibrary registration formÌýand anÌýOSA02 formÌýto obtain zID logins.ÌýOnce zID details have been issued, ADFA Personnel members can access the UNSW Library's electronic resources (e.g. eBooks, electronic journal articles, databases, streaming videos and more) and theirÌý account. ADFA ID card
To access and borrow from the on-site library, UNSW staff and students and ADFA PersonnelÌýmembersÌýneed to obtain anÌýADFA (Student/Staff ID) card through Information, Communication and Technology Services (ICTS). The ADFAÌýIDÌýcardÌýis your library card, which allows you to borrow physical items and use the printer/copiers/scannersÌýand theÌý24/7 Service.ÌýÌý
Other memberships
The Academy Library offers a range of memberships (see below for more details for each). To apply, complete a membership form and provide supporting documentation.
To finalise the process, visit the ICTS Centre, Building 14, at UNSW Canberra during business hours. The ICTS staff will take your photo for your ADFA card.
Note that there may be a delay of up to 24 hours before full borrowing privileges are available. For information on borrowing privileges for each library membership, see Borrowing Information.
Membership information & requirements

UNSW students who have graduated or completed their program or are eligible to graduate may apply for alumni membership.Ìý
UNSW offersÌýÌýto a limited number of databases for all UNSW Alumni. Library membership is not required for this free service. ÌýÌý
Access to onsite resourcesÌý
Alumni members can apply for an ADFA card to use onsite at the Academy Library. For information on what you can borrow and access, see details under non-UNSW clients under theÌýBorrowing PrivilegesÌýsection on the Borrowing Information webpage. ÌýÌý

- completedÌýmembership formÌý(if onsite access is desired)
- photo ID
- proof of address (either on your photo ID or on a phone bill, etc)
- proof of your alumni status (one of the following):
- any academic record demonstrating you're a UNSW graduate
- email confirmation from the alumni team verifying that you're a UNSW graduate.Ìý

New and renewing Alumni memberships submitted from the 1 May 2019, will be valid for 3 years from the date of application.Ìý

ADF and Department of Defence (DoD) personnel based in the ACT area can apply for non-UNSW community borrower membership.

Membership expires 12 months from application.

To become a Reciprocal borrower your university must be an eligibleÌýÌýmember.

- proof of your current enrolment/employment at a participating University
- proof of address (either on your photo ID or on a phone bill, etc.).

MembershipÌý
Membership is for the current enrolment period only. You need to renew your registration annually. Borrowing privileges expire on the 28 February of the following year.
