MBA Full-Time
An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ full-time professional work experience are required. Candidates are required to demonstrate academic excellence in their previous studies. This can be achieved through either strong academic results from an Australian or world top-ranked university or through a strong GMAT / GRE test score.

A minimum of two years full-time professional or managerial work experience is required after completion of an undergraduate degree.
The selection committee assesses the applicant's ability to benefit from and contribute to classroom debates based on the applicant’s previous work experience.
A successful work history is an important criterion in the selection process.

MBA (Executive)
A strong Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) and a minimum of 5 years professional/managerial work experience. If you do not have a Bachelor’s degree, you may be eligible for the AGSM Graduate Certificate in Management (7316), a pathway program into the MBA (Executive). Please see below for AGSM Graduate Certificates entry requirements.
Please note that 5 years post-graduate experience is an absolute minimum requirement for entry. Most of our MBA (Executive) students have on average around 11 years work experience.

MBAX & Graduate Certificates
There are two pathways into the MBAX and AGSM Graduate Certificate Programs:
- A strong undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) and a minimum of 2 years professional or managerial work experience
- Or at least 6 years professional work experience if you don’t have an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification.
Please note that 2 years post-graduate experience is an absolute minimum requirement for entry. Most of our MBAX and Graduate Certificate students have on average around 11 years work experience. You will need to demonstrate an outstanding work and study progression to gain admittance into the program with less than 3-4 years post graduate work experience.

In addition to meeting the MBAX entry requirements as shown above, applicants must also meet the UNSW LLM entry requirements:

A candidate for the Master of Laws by Coursework shall have been previously awarded any of the following:Â
- A Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from UNSW Sydney or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution;
- A Bachelor of Laws degree with a credit average, from UNSW Sydney or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution;
- A Juris Doctor degree, with a credit average, from UNSW Sydney or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution;
- A Bachelor degree in Social Sciences or Humanities, with a credit average, from UNSW Sydney or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution;
- A Juris Doctor degree or a Bachelor degree in Laws, Social Sciences or Humanities from UNSW Sydney or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution with a minimum of two years' relevant professional experience;Â
- A Bachelor degree from UNSW Sydney, with a credit average, or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution and a minimum of two years' relevant professional experience.

For the purposes of (5) and (6), relevant professional experience could include professional experience in legal and policy issues gained as an officer in local government; consulting on legal and policy issues; an officer/manager or similar for state or federal government agency with responsibility for legal and policy issues; corporate auditing, monitoring or managing legal and policy issues; project management with a legal or policy focus; NGO or international organisation responsible for law or policy reform.
